Never Forgotten

By Dr. James R. Miller(modern English version by The Vine © 2011)
Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them.

It was a long night for the storm-driven disciples; they were in great distress. But Jesus was only trying them. He saw their struggle and danger. He prayed for them. Then finally, He came to rescue them.

It is the same in every Christian's life. Sometimes Christ seems to have abandoned His people. For a long while they are left to struggle alone and to be driven back by the wind. They call and get no answer. The night wears away and it is almost morning. Then finally He comes.

When people are in trouble of any kind they are like the disciples that night out in the middle of the sea. No human aid can reach them. Our friends eagerly want to help and offer sympathy and a friendly ear. Still in times like those the most helpful of us are like people standing on the shore of a dark and stormy sea while our friends are far out in the storm. We cannot go to help them. Our little boats cannot ride the tossing waves. All we can do is to stand on the shore and look with sympathy at the struggling people in the angry sea. That is the very best that the richest human love can do. A father stood on the shore with indescribable pain and saw the boat that bore his own son swept into the angry waves. He could do nothing.

Thus it is in all life's deep needs. It is in such hours that we realize the blessedness of Christ's power to help. He can go out on any wave, into the wildest sea, to reach those who are driven and tossed. He can carry help to all who are troubled. He can comfort in any sorrow and give victory in any conflict.

Today... Reflect on past times of struggle when Christ has powerfully helped you or made you aware of His presence in time of struggle.

In our confusion and even chaos situation....we know that Christ is sovereign still.  He will answer those who call upon his name at the right moment even when we felt He is too late, but his answer will definitely arrive because He will never abundance his promise in Joshua 1:5..."I will not leave you or forsake you."

Hi I'm Mar and i'm working here in Abu Dhabi, UAE. as Architec /Engineer. I want to share with you how God show me that i am never forgoten.

When UAE experience econmic downturn our company is one of the affected termination of employee becomes a monthly event all over our branches in UAE.

When i got my first termination notice it makes me so worried what shall i do next since looking for a next employer becomes difficult within the country. My wife and i cryout to the Lord and we ask the prayer of our brethren at home country and our immediate family. Then God rescue me and i was reinstated by reliving some staff who are going on leave. Praise God for that!

Second Termination was served again after i completed the reliving job, we do the same request to GOD and HE moves in a special and meraculous way, so i was recalled to start another project which is good for four months.

Now this project im doing will be over by the 26 of July 2011 and my termination letter (AGAIN!) is been served and im due on 4 Agust 2011. Athough theres a lot of encouragement from brethren yet at the end of the day its me my wife and children looking, calling and trusting in the LORD that HE will not forget HIS promises to us. I'm always remainded of the word in the Bible " I dont know what to do but my eyes is upon you"

As 4 Agust 2011 is getting near each day when i wakes up i just utter a word of prayer, LORD help me, you made it twise, we believed you can make it third time.

May the LORD be exalted for HIS great love.

I remember one day when God intervene in my life. I missed the road in a bush for sometimes, but I did not get totally mssing, for it was a night.  God saw me through and directed me to the road by sending a tiny light to retrace my way back to the footpath.  God is worthy of praise.
