Christian TV has been blighted by the "plant a seed" philosophy which teaches that when you give you will receive great wealth in return. This is toxic teaching and has made many "teachers" lose all credibility.

This is a great awakening to all Christians. We are on a journey and the allure of wealth and riches are capable of choking us out of that journey.
Whilst I agree with the writer to a very large extent, the flip side of the argument is that poverty, more than anything can also lead to compromise. In African societies where ther are no social security and all that, having access to food, clothing and shelter has been elevated to such heights that you have to minister to physical needs before spiritual needs.
At teh end of the day, this race should be run by individuals. It is not congregational. Where are you in the agenda of God? What assignments has He given to you? What calling do you have? If you are fully persuaded, then go ahead.
